Vision

A truly inclusive society where every child, regardless of ability or disability, has equal rights, opportunities and the freedom to learn, create, play and thrive together.

Mission

To empower children with disabilities from marginalized communities through inclusion, equal opportunity and creative expression, enabling them to participate fully in society.

Values

Inclusion • Equality • Dignity • Empowerment • Belonging

Approach

Jan Madhyam uses creative expression: puppetry, music, dance, games and art to foster inclusion, connection and growth among children with and without disabilities.

Empowering Communities Through Direct Action

Inclusion. Dignity. Opportunity.

Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, create, participate and thrive.

Since its beginnings in 1982, Jan Madhyam has worked to build a more inclusive society for children and young people with disabilities, particularly those from economically disadvantaged communities.

We use creative expression, inclusive education, life-skills development, vocational training and community engagement to help individuals develop their abilities, build independence and participate more fully in society.

Our work extends beyond the individual to families, schools and communities—creating greater understanding, changing attitudes and opening up opportunities for people with disabilities.

Our vision: A society where everyone has equal rights, opportunities and the freedom to live with dignity.

Our mission: To advance disability inclusion through education, creative expression, skill development and community action.
